FAQ

abc1 24 hours

Q. Why does abc1 not broadcast after 6pm?

A. Freeview's broadcasting hours are from 6am to 6pm (excluding Wales) due to restrictions on the platform. We are working on increasing our platform bandwidth, but or the time being we cannot go on 24 hours. Abc1 is only available 24 hours on cable and satelite.

However, the channel is available 24hrs on both cable and satellite providers continuing around the clock with first look screenings of all your favourite abc1 shows during primetime hours. UK Premieres include Kevin Hill, Season 2 of Sports Night and Season 3 of 8 Simple Rules.

Freeview customers will still get to see these shows as they are repeated the following day during the afternoon and the weekend.
